| | BS in Applied Computer Graphics, Production Option An Applied Computer Graphics Production Option graduate will need to be versed in a variety of software packages and will need modeling skills, paint skills to do texture mapping, blue screening knowledge, and knowledge of cameras, studio setup, and editing. These students will not necessarily need to know programming but might need to write plug-ins as needed. They will definitely need to draw but need not necessarily be artists. They will need the ability to communicate via storyboarding. These students will edit and produce the final pieces with special effects. | |
|
| | BS in Applied Computer Graphics, Technical Option An Applied Computer Graphics Technical Option graduate will do modeling, build models, do composting, and construct underlying skeleton of objects. These models and objects will then be passed to an animator who will take these objects and animate them. Applied Computer Graphics graduates will also write programs, plug-ins, and scripts and will organize the entire shot or scene, digitizing images for each scene. These students will need strong programming skills and an equally strong eye for realistic scenes (lighting, layout, movement, etc.) - a trained eye (where art comes into play). | |
