| | Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Graphics Like the computer graphics discipline, the degree programs take an interdisciplinary approach to learning. This means that students will draw upon the expertise of faculty from various departments on campus and will work in collaborative project teams. The coursework for the major spans many departments: Art, Communication Design, Computer Science, Physical Education, and Theatre. In addition to the core computer graphics courses, students in these majors are required to in either Art Studio or Communication Design that contain all the coursework for a minor in each discipline. Due to the technical nature of the BS in Applied Computer Graphics Option in Technical, students pursuing this major and option plan also complete the coursework for a minor in Computer Science. The degree program is designed to enable students to develop their skills in a particular area of interest such as computer graphics, computer animation, web development, graphics software engineering, and computer game design and programming. | |

| | An internship program is an excellent way to transition from college to professional work. The degree programs require that students participate in two internship programs: campus and industry. Campus internships typically are conducted in the Instructional Media Center (IMC) or the Visual Imagery and Animation (VIA) Institute. Students work with real clients and real deadlines under the guidance of professional staff members. These programs provide students with academic credit while building their professional portfolio. | |
